CPR/First Aid Classes

According to the American Heart Association, cardiopulmonary resuscitation provided immediately after “sudden cardiac arrest” can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival but only 32 percent of cardiac arrest victims get CPR from a bystander.

Program Overview

In this course you will learn basic first aid, high performance CPR for adult, child and infants, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), how to recognize an emergency, size up an emergency scene and more! Certified CPR instructors are also firefighters. They teach a fun, engaging and interactive class.

Class Details

  • A practical test will be given for certification.
  • American Heart Association Heartsaver Adult/Child/Infant CPR.
  • This class is intended for non-medical professionals.
  • This class will teach you how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking.
  • There is no minimum age limit as long as the student is capable of performing the practical portions of the course.
  • Ages 13-17 may attend the class without an accompanying adult with prior permission.  Please email motto@enumclawfire.org.
  • Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Class Cost

  • Heartsaver Adult/Child/Infant CPR w/ AED – $40

  • Heartsaver Adult/Child/Infant CPR w/ AED & First Aid– $60

 

Registration Information

Please register for classes at Station 41 located at: 1330 Wells Street, Enumclaw WA 98022.

Payment Information

  • Payment is due at time of registration.
  • Drop-ins are not accepted on the day of class.
  • Payment may be made by check or money order. Checks should be made out to the "Enumclaw Fire Department".
  • Register early due to limited space in each class.
  • Enumclaw Fire does not accept cash, debit or credit cards.

Private Classes

CPR/AED Classes
$40.00 per person, with a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 14 attendees. The class is approximately four hours in length.

Combination CPR/AED/First Aid Classes

$60.00 per person, with a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 14 attendees. The class is approximately eight hours in length.

Certificates are issued via email upon completion of the class.

Scheduling Classes
When the class is scheduled, we will request billing information. Your business will be invoiced after completion of the class. Checks may be made out to "Enumclaw Fire Department".

Off-site classes:  Businesses are required to have ample space to conduct the class as well as a suitable size TV/DVD for use by the instructor.  All off-site classes must be held within the fire district and at the discretion of the instructor.

We will be working from our roster of CPR instructors to find a mutually acceptable date and time for your class, so please be prepared by having an alternative date in mind.
